Art Stratemeyer

died suddenly on April 2008

Authur "Art" Stratemeyer, 60, of Raleigh, NC died Tuesday April 8, 2008. He was born in Little Falls NY on May 7 1947, the son of the late Betty and Robert Stratemeyer. He married Elizabeth, "Betsy" Chambers, his wife of 39 years on August 16, 1969, He was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Mr. Stratemeyer attended North Carolina State University. He served in the military for 8 years. He was managing partner of Montgomery Marketing Inc. for 15 years, and later founded Fine Woodworkers and Wine Cellars Software. He earned national recognition for his design and manufacture of custom wine cellars, and for his wine software management website.

He was a wine connoisseur and collector and a avid competitive tennis player. His family and friends were most important to him and he will be remembered by them for his wonderful sense of humor and thoughtfulness.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 12, 2008. Burial will follow in Christ Church Memorial Garden.

Memorial gifts may be made to Wake Relief, c/o Christ Episcopal Church, 120 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh NC 27602, Hospice of Wake County, The American Heart Association or a charity of one's choice.
