A Walnut Vanity for the WRAL Concept Home.

We were commissioned to do the wine cellar ( you can view it here ) for this project that supports the Make-A-Wish foundation.

As our small way of contributing to this worth cause, we worked with Sue Stone ( Susan Stone Interiors ) to create a custom wood vanity that would compliment and soften the clean crisp lines of the hardware and the sink.

We dug through some of our collection of 150 year old walnut and created the vanity.   The piece is simply finished with oil ( no stain ) to bring out the beauty of the wood.  Then a hand rubbed lacquer is applied to protect the surface.  Small imperfections in the wood itself were allowed to show through and add to the character of the piece.
