Our Standards

With our roots firmly set here in Raleigh for the past 30 years, we have a set of
core standards from which we will not deviate.

For at the end of the day, we must be proud of what we do.

Honesty A simple word, but one that is at the heart of our business.
Timeliness

For some reason, it seems that the simple consideration of being on time for appointments, completing tasks, or returning phone calls is one that is ignored all too often, and that companies seem to forget just who the customer really is!

We pride ourselves in respecting our client's time and responding promptly.

Cleanliness Whether in a client's home or place of business, we go to extra lengths to insure the least amount of disturbance due to the installation process. We do this throughout the entire process, not just at the end of the installation.
Satisfaction and Quality

To us, these two words go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other. We know that our work needs to last for generations and we are proud of the standards we set to insure this.

Quality is not expensive. Rather, it is the lack of quality that in the long run costs the client more.

Have Fun

The art of enjoying one's work often is lost today. This is not the case for us. We truly love what we do.

Wood Stewardship

In today's hectic world, it might seem a bit old fashioned but we believe that, even as a small business we have a responsibility for stewardship of the wood that we use. This beautiful, fully renewable resource is one that is all too often taken for granted. However, we pride ourselves in using wood that is harvested with the care that it should be given.

We try our best to insure that we are not using woods that are harvested irresponsibly. One example of this is Mahogany.

Mahogany has been one of the driving woods for the deforestation of the rain forest. While there is a huge amount of wood that can be responsibly harvested from this area, it must be followed by replanting techniques and all too often countries avoid this extra cost. Thus we will use Honduran mahogany from existing stockpiles, African and Brazilian from plantation growers but we will not use any from Peru where they continue the slash and burn harvesting methods that are so destructive to the local environment.

In our lifetime, we know that the total amount of wood that we will use in making our furniture is minuscule but the fact that we do some small part in protecting the beautiful resource for future generations brings us satisfaction.

We are also proud to be accepted members of the Furniture Society.
A nationwide organization promoting fine handmade furniture.

We are also members of the national Cabinet Makers Association
